How do I clean my shaker properly?Updated 2 days ago
Balance Shaker & Shaky Shaker
Both shakers are dishwasher safe. Place all three parts—the container, the lid, and the mixing insert—separately in the dishwasher. Make sure that the lid of the drinking opening is open and that the mixing insert is removed from the lid. Important: After cleaning, always leave the shaker open to dry for a while so that any remaining moisture can escape. Otherwise, unpleasant odors may develop. This also applies if the shaker appears to be completely dry.
Don't give powder residue in the lid a chance!
The removable mixing insert fits perfectly into the lid of our shakers. You can easily snap the grid into the lid. This makes the shaker easier to clean, as no powder can get stuck in the grooves.
Have you left your shaker standing for a long time and now there are stubborn shake residues?
Soak the affected parts of your shaker in hot water for at least 10 minutes before putting them in the dishwasher. This will make it easier to remove the residue.
Have stubborn odors already set in and need extra cleaning power?
If odors have already set in, you can resort to two tried-and-tested home remedies:
- Fill the shaker with hot water and a little white vinegar, shake it, and let the mixture sit for at least an hour. Then rinse it thoroughly with soap.
- Baking soda is also excellent for neutralizing odors. Mix it with water in the shaker, shake, leave it to work for at least an hour, and rinse everything out. Annoying odors will disappear as if by magic!
Thermoshaker
Our stainless steel thermoshaker should be cleaned by hand. However, the lid and mixing insert are dishwasher safe.
Here too, leave the shaker open to dry after rinsing to avoid unpleasant odors and water spots on the stainless steel.
Stains on the stainless steel?
No problem! These stains can usually be removed easily. A mixture of warm water and baking soda (about one packet) is suitable for this. Leave it to work for about 30 minutes. Then wipe with a sponge, dry thoroughly, and leave open. Alternatively, a little vinegar in the water also helps.
With these tips, your shakers will stay in top shape! 🙂
